The Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) Annual Run for Girl Education is aimed at raising awareness and funds to support underserved female students.
The 4th Annual Run 2025 was conducted on Sunday June 29th, 2025, under the Theme “Miles for Smiles: Supporting Girls’ Education” and as Twahirah Islamic Center, we are proud to be part of the sponsors supporting the underprivileged female students. The funds raised in the run will see 260 financially struggling female students supported.
Thousands of participants among others including students, partners/sponsors and religious leaders ran 9.4 kilometres in areas of Kyengera, Busega and Nateete starting and ending at IUIU Female’s Campus in Kabojja.
Crowning the run, TIC received a Certifcate of Appreciation during the award ceremony presented by Prof. Ismail Gyagenda.
